Education Development Office (EDO)

Introduction to Educational Development Office (ED0) 

EDC Duties 

·Cooperation in increasing of academic members’ capabilities in various fields of paramedical  education

·Cooperation in fulfillment and consultation in  academic members evaluation and educational process at the faculty

·Consultative aids in fulfillment of research project in education

·Consultative aids in various fields of teaching, learning, new educational methods and evaluation to the groups and academic members of the faculty

·Active attendance in faculty educational council meetings

Abstract checklist of duties of EDO is shown below:

1.       Educational planning with cooperation of educational groups

2.       Development of academic members’ capabilities in various fields of medical education

3.       Consultative aids in evaluation of students, academic member and educational processes

4.       Consultative aids in fulfillment of research planning

5.       Consultative aids in implementation of new educational methods, council and study on educational development matters

6.       Active attendance in faculty educational council meetings

EDO Manager will be selected among academic members of each faculty by Dean of school and will be approved following consent of head of education center.

EDO Manager should attend actively in faculty educational council meetings as a member of educational council.

Any activities of EDOs should be under supervision and coordination of head of education center.

Educational Development Center(EDC) as the mastermind of the university is responsible to develop the quality of education at the medical universities and health sciences in the country. To implement this critical role, a permanent mechanism is required to develop education in all educational fields of the university in the faculties. To constitute this infrastructure, EDOs are established in all of the faculties and educational health centers. The duties of both EDC and EDO and their relationship are described in a regulation.
